Stop advising about the release dates of Kanguva & Thangalaan, says the producer

There has been a lot of fuss around the release dates of Kanguva and Thangalaan, both of which are produced by Studio Green. Kanguva is a period-action drama starring Suriya and directed by Siruthai Siva. Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith, has Vikram as the protagonist. G. Dhananjeyan who is both the CEO of Studio Green and a producer has reacted to the trolls now.

Dhananjeyan often gives interviews to YouTube channels and shares his views without any apprehensions. He did the same thing now. Dhananjeyan wrote, “I see a lot of posts & trolls regularly on the release date announcement of #Kanguva & #Thangalaan tagging me. Guys, chill. We understand your enthusiasm, but a producer who invested hundreds of crores knows when to release his films to maximize revenues & minimize the risk.”

He added, “Release date cannot be announced to please some & then suffer. It has to be based on economics and the opportunity of a good date. So please stop advising, criticising & commenting. Do support us when we announce & until then, please chill and wait for the official announcement, than indulging in unnecessary trolls.”

Netizens are supporting the bold statement made by Dhananjeyan. His words also make sense since there are a lot of factors that affect the release date of a film, and those might not be known to the general public.
