During the promotions of Aa Okkati Adakku, Allari Naresh gave a pleasant surprise by revealing that he is penning the script of Sudigadu 2, the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Sudigadu. This parody entertainer is still the highest-grosser in Naresh’s career, and hence, there are good expectations for the second installment. In a recent interview, the actor revealed more details about Sudigadu 2.

Allari Naresh said, “Sudigadu is very special to me, and many have asked me to do the sequel. I am writing the script for the second part, and I have some crazy ideas. Definitely, it will take more time. Sudigadu’s success is mostly attributed to the famous movie scenes that we mimicked. For Sudigadu 2, I need to consider all the hit films from 2012 to 2024. It’s a long process. More than the films, I need to make a note of all the famous scenes that have come in the last 12 years.”

Allari Naresh continued, “For parody films like these, we should imitate those scenes that are very popular among the audiences. If I take scenes from the 80s or 90s, the current generation may not connect to them. Hence, I decided to consider the films that were released in the last decade. I will be writing the script, but I won’t be directing Sudigadu 2.”

The actor added, “Sudigadu 2 will have scenes from films all across the industries. An industrialist from North India commented that South films won’t have logics after watching the Inky Pinky Ponky song from Sudigadu. I tried explaining that it was a spoof film, but back then, people weren’t much aware of what a parody film meant. That problem doesn’t exist now. Recently, we went to Turkey, and a person recognized me there because of Sudigadu. I understood that Sudigadu 2 has more potential. I will try to make Sudigadu 2 in such a manner that even the Bollywood audience will enjoy it.”
