Suriya’s much anticipated period action drama Kanguva ended up as a massive disappointment at the box office. Suriya and Siruthai Siva received heavy criticism for delivering a below-par product. More than the hero and director, producer Gnanavel Raja was trolled immensely for the statements he gave prior to the release.

However, Suriya’s next film, Suirya44, is surrounded by positive vibes all over. The reason for it is Karthik Subbaraj. The director is known for delivering good content consistently and he teaming up with Suriya has drawn the attention of one and all. At IIFA Goa 2024, Karthik Subbaraj revealed that Suriya44 will hit the screens in Summer 2025.

Also, Karthik Subbaraj stated that the promotions will kickstart at the end of the year. The team is planning to bring the film to the theatres on April 10, 2025. Suriya is no doubt a terrific actor, but he has made some wrong choices in the last few years. But with Suriya44, the actor is expected to make a strong comeback.

Pooja Hegde plays the leading lady in this flick, which is a love story laced with action elements. Shriya Saran will be seen in a special dance number. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer. Suriya’s 2D Entertainment banner is producing this biggie.
