The stage is all set for the announcement on Tamil superstar Vijay’s 69th film. One of the leading Tamil production houses, Sun Pictures, will be bankrolling this prestigious project. Incidentally, Sun Pictures had earlier produced Vijay’s 2022 action thriller, Beast.

And if the ongoing buzz in Kollywood circles is anything to go by, Thalapathy fans are in for a huge surprise. Apparently, this crazy project will be helmed by acclaimed young Tamil filmmaker, Karthik Subbaraj, and the official announcement in this regard is expected shortly. Thalapathy69 marks the first-ever collaboration between Vijay and Karthik Subbaraj.

Karthik Subbaraj is popular for his path-breaking movies such as Pizza, Jigarthanda, Iraivi and Superstar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster action drama, Petta, produced by Sun Pictures. Karthik Subbaraj has also penned the story for maverick director Shankar and Ram Charan’s much-awaited political drama, Game Changer.
