The much-awaited title song from Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak was unveiled on his birthday. Fans gave the song a unanimous thumbs up, and the song is registering record number of likes on YouTube. Thaman’s composition and Ramajogayya Shastry’s lyrics that elevated Pawan’s heroism are the main highlights of the song.
However, senior Telangana IPS officer and Hyderabad East Zone DCP M Ramesh took offence to the way the song portrayed the police department. The top cop took to Twitter and criticised the way Ramajogayya Shastry penned the song. “Thankfully, @TelanganaCOPs are #PeopleFriendlyPolice. We don’t break the bones of those whom we are paid to protect ! Surprisingly, @ramjowrites couldn’t find enough words in Telugu to describe the valour of a cop. No mention of service in the song,” tweeted Ramesh.
Bheemla Nayak, also featuring Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles, is being directed by Saagar K Chandra and produced by Naga Vamsi.
