The highly anticipated announcement on Kollywood star Vijay’s final movie before his plunge into Tamil politics, tentatively titled Thalapathy69, was made this evening amid much fanfare. The makers of this prestigious project also unveiled a striking special poster that features a hand holding a mashal that spews red flames.

“The torchbearer of democracy arriving soon,” read the poster, hinting that Thalapathy69 will be an intense political drama that glorifies Vijay as a messiah. While talented Tamil filmmaker H Vinoth directs Thalapathy69, star composer Anirudh Ravichander will score the music for this most eagerly awaited biggie.

Even though the makers are yet to come up with a formal announcement, the ongoing buzz in the Kollywood circles reveals that star heroine Pooja Hegde will play the female lead opposite Vijay.
