Prashanth Reddy made his directorial debut with the action thriller Bhaje Vaayu Vegam. It stars Kartikeya and Iswarya Menon in the lead roles. The film garnered positive word of mouth and decent reviews. It went from strength to strength with each passing day at the box office. In an interview, the young director said that the attention span of audiences has decreased lately.
Prashanth Reddy said, “When I was in school, I used to watch movies very frequently. Back then, audiences paid 100% attention to the screens. Today, the scenario has changed completely. The attention span of the audience has decreased now significantly. If a person gets bored while watching a film, he/she will take their mobile phone and start watching reels.”
Prashanth Reddy added, “These reels have a short duration, and if people don’t like something, they will move to the next one. Hence, present-day films need to revolve around the conflict point completely. Once the conflict is introduced in the plot, the screenplay needs to revolve around it completely. There shouldn’t be any deviation. I make sure my films will have this quality.”
