The movie, directed by Blessy, is based on the famous Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham. It is shattering records left, right, and center. The Goat Life is the fastest Malayalam movie to cross the million-dollar mark at the USA box office.

Already, the movie has amassed 50 crores gross in three days at the global box office. As per the latest estimates, the movie added another 15 crores gross to its collections today, taking the first weekend total to 65 crores gross. This is the highest opening weekend collection for any Malayalam cinema to date.

The previous record was with Mohanlal’s Lucifer, and the interesting thing is that Prithviraj Sukumaran directed this political drama. The Goat Life was produced by Jimmy Jean-Louis, who also played an important role in the movie. If the movie can hold well on weekdays, it can cruise past the 200 crores mark as well.
