While Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy opened at the USA box office on a stellar note, the tide has changed now and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya has started to take the lead.
After $670K from premieres, Waltair Veerayya made $275K hourly gross till 10PM EST. Meaning, it would make over $300K on its first day, excluding premieres.
Veerayya will be clocking $1 million by Saturday and it is expected to hold the ground further and go striking over the weekend. It could well be the Sankranthi winner at the USA box office.
Veera Simha Reddy had a sensation start with $708K from premieres, and it then made $70K on first day and added close to $50K on Friday.
