Actor Varun Tej will next be seen in the much-talked-about period gangster drama, Matka. The film marks Varun’s first-ever pan-India project. Matka’s story is set against the backdrop of gambling and spans across 24 years, from 1958 to 1982. Varun will be playing a character that evolves from a young to old age.

The latest update from Matka makers reveals that the film’s last schedule is currently underway at Ramoji Film City. The entire production formalities will be wrapped up with this schedule. The film’s post-production work is happening simultaneously, and the movie’s unit will start unveiling the promos very soon. Today, the makers released a special silhouetted poster in which Varun Tej appears as an aged don.

Matka also has Meenakshi Chaudhary and Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi playing the female leads. The Karuna Kumar directorial is being produced by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under the Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment banners. GV Prakash Kumar is the film’s music composer.
