Veteran actor Delhi Ganesh passes away at 80

Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh, who entertained audiences with his performances as an actor and dubbing artist, passed away at 11 PM on Saturday at his home in Chennai. He was 80 years old. His son, Mahadevan, officially confirmed the news via his Instagram. The cause of death was his ill health.

Delhi Ganesh began his career with K. Balachander’s Pattina Parvesam and went on to play supporting roles in more than 400 films and dozens of television serials. His most notable films include Sindhu Bhairavi (1985), Nayakan (1987), Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989), Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990), Aahaa..! (1997), and Thenali (2000). He also gained immense fame for his character in the serial Ragasiyam (1996). His last appearance was in Indian 2.
