If you remember, Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya was released on OTT after a long delay. The Varun Dhawan starrer made its theatrical debut in November 2022, but it took about 6 months for its digital premiere. Bhediya was launched in Jio Cinema during the end of IPL 2023. It looks like the OTT platform will follow the same strategy for Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.

This Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer was a dark horse at the box office. Initially, the movie benefitted from BOGO (Buy One Get One free) offer, but later, it stood its ground and found love from the audience. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke sprung a surprise by collecting around 85 crores nett in India, which is phenomenal for a rom-com. The movie was released in June 2023, but still, now it didn’t arrive on OTT.

It seems that the digital streamer has kept the Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’s digital release purposefully on hold to gain more traction. Jio Cinema is bound to get solid viewership during IPL, and releasing Bhediya during the tournament turned out to be fruitful for the OTT platform. IPL 2024 is around the corner, and we might get the streaming date announcement of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke soon.
