Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Sarfira, which is slated to release on July 12. Acclaimed director Sudha Kongara directed the film, and It is an official adaptation of the Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya, which premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video in 2020.
Sarfira has finalized its OTT deal, and the leading digital platform Disney Plus Hotstar grabbed the streaming rights for a decent amount. After receiving a positive response to the first glimpse, the official theatrical trailer for the film is likely to be released tomorrow.
Sarfira features a talented cast of Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles. Sudha Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi penned the story, and Pooja Tolani wrote the dialogues. The film is produced by Aruna Bhatia of Cape of Good Films, Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment, and Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment.
